I guess my title says it all. This book felt like it was written by a fan of fairy porn with little more than a superficial encounter with the Other World Series and a fascination with cursing and words to describe genitals that I'm pretty certain Amazon won't let me use in a review.

This was a transitional book to set up the next part of the series and although it would have been nice to have some resolution in the book I can live with that. The (bad) fairy porn scenes can be skimmed through. What I find harder to accept is characters that sounded and acted nothing like the way they behaved in the last 6 books. Between Camille sounding like a brain damaged twit and her men being defanged harem men this book was a disappointing failure.

I'll try one more book, but if Harvest Hunting is as much of a disappointment I'm done

I am really enjoying this series. The language is simple but the imagery is exceptional. I especially enjoy the fae faerie aspects of this fantasy world. Not a fantasy series for everybody, but I recommend you give it a try because you might be surprised. The shift of narratives between the books is noticeably and Yasmine does an excellent job of making you believe it is from a different point of view. The points highlighted in each narrative are different and do a great job driving home the differences between the sisters.

This delves deeper into Camille's journey into Death magic and marks a major step in her journey as a follower of the Moon Mother. We also learn more about her complex relationship with her men.
These all follow a basic pattern; that remains unchanged here - just the names and places change a bit. I do have to say that these books would all really do well without the sex….it really doesn't seem pertinent to the story line and doesn't really add much. I like the characters just as much without the explicit details….not a prude; I like a good scene as well as the next person….these just seem extraneous.
Camillel has had some serious happenings this week she was raised in status to a priestess she was involved in the rebirth of the black unicorn and she found out that love is worth fighting for the demons don't take prisoners they kill everybody
This series has some great characters within it and the previous books have all been decent. I found that this series was better when Trillian was MIA; however, I do like Trillian's character. I suppose the resulting lack of tension when he returned was a little anticlimactic. Since Trillian is supposed to be her Alpha lover, I would have expected his reaction to have been somewhat more dramatic thereby increasing the turmoil and making this a much more exciting read. I liked learning more about some of the characters in this book, particularly Smoky, but I also found myself getting annoyed with some of the main characters...mainly Delilah and Chase.
This book is so jammed packed with mythology and magic terminology. It is a lot to take in. I hadn't read the previous 6 novels, so this was like scrambling to catch up to who's who and what's what. The first time I read it I was really frustrated trying to understand the events that lead the sisters to where they are now. I'm still confused on some of what had happened prior to this book, but I think I got the highlights. I don't understand Camille's relationship with two alphas and Morio, It seems a bit much to have three big men, two alphas, all on Camille at once. There are a lot of characters, the inside circle and outside. It's a lot of information to take in for one little book. The plot is continued through each book, so although there wasn't a huge accomplishment in this book, there are a lot of smaller accomplishments

Camille has to go to otherworld to go get Trillian her first love. She has her soul bound husbands Smoky(dragon) and Morio (fox demon). They are searching for Stacia Bonecrusher, a general for the shadow wing. There is a lot of politics between the three Earth Queens , the fey Queen are the Queen of all other world, and the King of the unicorns.

As lost as I was when i read this the first time, I recently re-read it to get another perspective. I wasn't as lost, still somethings I don't know how they came to be, I don't think I would read a Camille book again, but I am interested in trying the next in Delilah point of view to see if its any better. Harvest Hunting (Sisters of the Moon, Book 8)
